Duso’s Flat Pasta

  1. Bring 3 litres of salted water to a boil
  2. Add 1 package of Duso’s flat pasta
  3. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes. For Al Dente pasta cook for 2 minutes, and 3 minutes for softer pasta
  4. Drain and serve with your favourite Duso’s Pasta Sauce

Duso’s Filled Pasta

  1. Bring 3 litres of salted water to a gentle boil
  2. Add 1 package of Duso’s filled pasta
  3. Cook at a gentle boil for 6 to 7 minutes. For Al Dente pasta cook for 6 minutes and up to 8 minutes for softer pasta
  4. Use a slotted spoon to remove pasta from water. To avoid breakage do not use colander

Notes:

Adding salt to pasta water is optional. Italians
do this to bring out the flavour of the pasta

In Italian Al Dente means” to the tooth” and in contemporary Italian cooking, it is the ideal consistency for pasta. We encourage you to experiment and cook your pasta how YOU
like it. As long as it is Duso’s, of course.

Q: Should I rinse my pasta after it is cooked?

A: ONLY if you are par boiling and plan on heating it in the future.

Q: How much salt should I add to the water?

A: Add 2 tbsp. to 3 litres of water

Q: Should I stir the pasta while it is cooking?

A: Yes, immediately after placing pasta in boiling water, stir gently for 10 seconds. This will separate pasta so it won’t’ stick together or stick to the bottom of the pot.

Q: What is the best way to add sauce to my pasta?

A: Drain pasta for 30 seconds, place back into cooking pot, and toss in 1 tbsp. of butter (optional), add your favourite Duso’s sauce and gently toss to mix together.
