At the World Congress on Pasta, held in on October 25, 1995, pasta makers from around the world enthusiastically agreed that pasta – a healthy, delicious, and convenient food – deserved annual recognition.  And now, World Pasta Day is celebrated on October 25 across the globe.


Pasta made headlines again in October 2010 when nutrition scientists met in Rio de Janeiro to discuss pasta and health.  They concluded that pasta is a quality carbohydrate food and is a key ingredient of a healthy diet.
